Investigation of Gale Norton for Deal with Oil Company

Hosted by

George Bush's choice of Gale Norton as Secretary of the Interior was controversial from the beginning, part of an ongoing struggle over the use of public lands. But now, based on an investigation begun within the Bush Administration over whether Norton used her position to benefit Royal Dutch Shell, the oil company she works for now, the Obama Justice Department has assigned a prosecutor to the case. Jim Tankersley, energy and environment reporter for the Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune, broke the story today with his colleague Josh Meyer.
