State Wants to Pull the Plug on TV Energy Use

Hosted by  •

California has some 35 million television sets, about one for every resident of the state. Many homes have three or more. They’re using a lot of energy, especially those with flat, plasma screens.  Now the state Energy Commission says it’s time to get that under control. It wants limits on new TV sets starting two years from now.
