At a recent citizenship ceremony at the LA Convention Center, 5,000 people from all over the world became new citizens. That means 5,000 new potential voters. The ceremony consistently ranks among the highest attended in the country and the most diverse. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services says 134 countries were represented.
