OC Line: Anaheim City Council rejects rent stabilization ordinances

Rent stabilization is a Santa Monica thing. It’s a Culver City thing. It’s an Inglewood thing. It’s a Los Angeles thing. It’s a New York thing.

“It’s an ‘urban’ thing,” says Gustavo Arellano, LA Times features writer. However, the city of Anaheim does not want to make it their thing. 

The city claims that rents are fair in Anaheim. The developer friendly, real estate friendly, and economic friendly city council, they took a hard line against rent control.
