Primary elections are happening on Tuesday, and several might be upsets for Democrats.

In New York, longtime Congressman Eliot Engel is trying to avoid an upset against Jamaal Bowman, a Bronx teacher and principal. And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faces her first real reelection test since she shocked the political world two years ago.

In Kentucky, two Democrats are competing for the chance to unseat Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in November. One is Amy McGrath, a well-funded establishment retired Marine fighter pilot. The other is Charles Booker, a surging progressive state lawmaker who's been at the forefront of recent racial justice protests.
