Apple announced a new high-tech watch yesterday, and people who never thought they wanted a watch can’t wait to get their hands on one. How does Apple take something that no one ever thought they wanted, then turn it into something everyone thinks they absolutely need? How do we come to need something that we would have scoffed at a year ago? We look at the psychology of consumer behavior.
