More than 2000 people across Los Angeles County were arrested over the weekend, tied to protests over the police killing of George Floyd. Multiple protesters accused police officers of using excessive force like tear gas and rubber bullets, and dozens of journalists say they were attacked by police after making it clear they were members of the media.

Loyola law professor Jessica Levinson explains the rights of protesters, journalists and police officers during public demonstrations.
