PA State House Rejects Gun-Control Measures, Despite Amish Shooting

There are roughly 17,000 murders in the US every year, 15,000 of which are committed with firearms. Recent school shootings have led to new calls for gun control. Yet, despite Charles Carl Roberts killing of five children at the Amish schoolhouse near Lancaster, on Tuesday--50 miles away in Harrisburg--the Pennsylvania state legislature rejected took up a host of gun-control measures.
