Why is The Washington Post selling now?

The Graham family, which has owned the Washington Post since the Great Depression, astounded editors and reporters and the entire newspaper industry yesterday by announcing the sale of the paper to an Internet pioneer.  Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, says he’ll leave the journalism to people who know it better than he does.
