The tiny city of Bell got national headlines for paying Manager Robert Rizzo $1.5 million a year. Today, he got a 12-year prison sentence from a judge who called him “a godfather.” But Bell’s not alone; there are new details of corruption in neighboring Cudahy, and nearby Vernon has been called “a criminal enterprise posing as a city government.”

Also, we'll take a look at the sensational story of Dodger outfielder Yasiel Puig, a rookie sensation last year whose defection from Cuba is a tale of bribery, kidnapping and death.

Later, on To The Point, the so-called Heartbleed security flaw has revealed every user’s worst nightmare about security on the Internet. If we’re already vulnerable now, what’s going to happen when electrical grids and driverless cars are operated online? Should somebody take charge, or is it better when nobody can?
