Will Desalination Defeat the Drought?
The biggest desalination plant in the Northern Hemisphere will go on line in November — providing one tenth of the water supply for San Diego. Santa Barbara is getting a plant out of mothballs, and Huntington Beach wants to be next. No less than 15 legal challenges have been filed against the plant in Carlsbad , and all of them have been denied.
