UCLA Hospital Hack Exposes Vulnerability of Health Care Industry

UCLA Medical Center tied for third today on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll published by US News and World Report. Hospital officials say that reflects the "dignity and respect" shown patients and their families. But, when it comes to patient records, there's another story. In a recent cyberattack, hackers may have gained access to sensitive information on as many as 4.5 million people. Dr. John Halamka is a professor at Harvard Medical School and Chief Information Officer at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
