This week market manager Laura Avery talks with chef Nyesha Arrington who recently opened Leona on Washington Boulevard in Venice. This week chef Arrington is shopping for Dapple Dandy pluots which she slow roasts and uses to garnish her brick chicken at Leona.

Farmer Jay Scott has been a vendor at the Santa Monica Market for over thirty years. He sells a variety of pluots, including the Dapple Dandy and Flavor King. He also grows eleven varieties of table grapes.
