In a New York Times story this week, reporter Kim Severson writes, "The joke used to be that New Orleans is a town of 5,000 restaurants and five recipes." But now, ten years after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, she reports that the city's restaurant scene is booming. There are more restaurants today than there were in 2005 before the storm hit.

Earlier this week on To the Point, KCRW's Warren Olney spoke to Severson and Tia Moore Henry of Cafe Dauphine in the Lower 9th Ward.
