    Fanatics!

I must say, I don’t have much of a clue as to what songs Ian has chosen to bring with him. As you know, tonight, we are live with Ian MacKaye, who happens to be in town. I have been talking with the man over the last few nights and what the plan seems to be is that we are going to bring a lot of music and see what happens. Should be a great time, whatever happens.

Just a little heads up on some of the goodness coming your way:

In two weeks, we will unleash KCRW Broadcast #161 04-21-12 on you. It’s Iggy’s birthday, so the whole night will be Stoogeson

A week after that, KCRW #162 04-28-12 will be let loose upon you. This will feature in the second hour, a great new album, weeks before it’s coming out by a J Mascis side project called Heavy Blanket. It’s six blazing instrumentals, featuring J Mascis on guitar. The album won’t be out until May, I believe but we get to hear it first! It’s really great. I worked it out with the label and they’re all cool with us getting first crack at it.

I think you will like the upcoming shows. We are going to get into some cool jams and take the whole thing to some new places.

Make sure to tune in this Saturday for myself, Ian, Engineer X and the Young Will Bentley as we will be live at 8 pm on Tha K, 89.9 FM KCRW. Listen in and STAY FANATIC!!!
