Fanatics! Are we rockin’ this month or what?!
Fanatics! Are we rockin’ this month or what?!
    Oct 21, 2013

Fanatics! Are we rockin’ this month or what?! Thanks for all the cool mail you have sent in about our last two October shows, very glad you’re digging them.

It is Thursday night. It was only when my boss at the LA Weekly just wrote and asked if there were going to be any show notes this week that it hit me I had forgotten.

I spent several hours today, working on a new book that is all done except for the final proofreading. I bailed out of the office after that and went to a coffee place and worked on Fanatic! Vol. 4. I just came back from that and now I am into this.

Fanatic, I am listening to the music of our Sunday night show right now and it feels like a Friday or Saturday night show but don’t they all?!

Yes, Fanatic, we continue in our October mood for two more shows. Lots of great Punk Rock, Post Punk, some vintage Rock and some other thangs.

I have been dosing hard on music this month, Fanatic! Lurkers, Damned, Hawkwind, Warmers, Ornette Coleman, Buzzcocks, Adverts, Birth Refusal, Ruts, Uton, Ashtray Navigations, Sabbath, Lou Reed, Moth Drakula, Melt-Banana, Ty Segall, Fuzz, Nadja, UK Subs, Joy Division, Generation X, Ramones, My Cat Is An Alien, Birchville Cat Motel, H&H Slaughter, Eso Steel, Killing Joke, The Mob. Along with all these more familiar jams, I have been checking a lot of releases on Celebrate Psi Phenomenon out of New Zealand. I like that label.

For our graveyard shift show, it’s just one great track after another. I am loving this set we’ve got happening here.

I know that many of you Fanatics are listening all over the world on archive and we appreciate that more than you know. No matter where you are presently, I hope this show and the others we have put together for you this month are doing the trick.

Check out the new TV Smith at the bottom of hour 1! It’s a new CD he just put out. Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1. It’s really cool. Here is some info: http://www.tvsmith.com/shop.shtml.

This is a great month for returning. In October, we return to classic tracks as we prepare to go deeper into the colder weather. I was in Brooklyn shooting promo stuff for my new show on H2 a few days ago and it was definitely getting crisp. There have been some great nights here in California too.

The show is 10 Things You Don’t Know on H2. Here’s an address to check out some if you want to: http://www.history.com/shows/10-things-you-dont-know-about If you scroll down the page a little you can find a few things to watch. I think it came out really well. That’s what had me on the east coast earlier this year. I think it rolls out early next month.

My fingers are crossed that you will dig this show. We’ll get together next week and jam on some more tunes, that’s what it’s all about, Fanatic. I know you know.

Get ready, get set and STAY FANATIC!!!
