Irish musician Glen Hansard was already an established figure on the indie scene by the time he paired up with Czech musician Markéta Irglová in 2006 to form The Swell Season. No one involved could have predicted the pair's stratospheric rise following the release of John Carney's film, Once, the following year. Hansard made a triumphant return to KCRW twelve years after his first appearance with The Frames in 1994, and the duo lay down a passionate set of originals and covers with host Nic Harcourt.
