Big Freedia hits the Rivian Electric Roadhouse to share “Take My Hand,” the first taste of her forthcoming “vibrant and uplifting non-denominational record.”
Queen of New Orleans bounce Big Freedia will return to the gospel roots of her youth with a yet-to-be-titled album coming this summer and, of course, a big tour to surround it. From now until March 21, unless you find yourself at a Freedia show, you’ll have to press the player button on this page to hear the WORLD PREMIERE of the first single from that forthcoming album — “Take My Hand.” Tune in for some serious gospel-house perfection as part of Freedia’s guest DJ visit which also features DJ Jubilee’s “We're Gettin' Ready,” Sylvester’s “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real),” and Luther Barnes & The Red Budd Gospel Choir’s “I'm Still Holding On.” Plus she’s telling us more about what to expect from the new record, the upcoming tour, and the space the rest of her song selects occupy in her life.
