Many mom and pop Chinese restaurants took big hits during the COVID-19 pandemic due to discrimination, ignorance, and fear. KCRW’s Evan Kleiman asked the Good Food community, via Twitter, who they’re supporting and where they’re getting their Chinese takeout.

A few super famous names made the list of responses. These are places that deliver comfort in familiarity and value. More than one respondent said they order enough to last several meals. Also, topping the list are dumplings and noodles, which few Angelenos are comfortable making for themselves.

Make sure you call these restaurants first to make sure they're open and take credit cards. Many are not delivering too.

Alhambra

You Kitchen - fish dumplings, hand-grasping cake

Monterey Park
