The homeless population of the city of LA grew by 16%, meaning more than 36,000 people are living on the streets or in their cars. Some argue that short-term housing rentals like Airbnb play a part in LA's housing and homelessness crisis. Laguna Beach just passed a law regulating Airbnb and other short term rentals in residential areas.
