After a little over year of releasing a steady stream of heady-yet-dancey singles, LA electro-avant-poppers Y.A.C.H.T (Young Americans Challenging High Technology) have (finally) announced a new LP. Cheekily titled New Release, not too many further details have emerged (unless your vinyl copy already arrived). But the record is due everywhere on Aug. 23 so we’ll all know more soon enough. Enjoy our spin of 2023’s slinky, angularly groove laden “Manic Panic” while you wait. Plus, Brontez Purnell’s ecstatic, gospel-tinged rocker “If You Can’t Help Me (Trio Version),” Tolliver’s latest jam “Weed Jazz June,” Suki Waterhouse’s “Supersad,” and so much more.
