Maria Elena Durazo has been President of the LA County Federation of Labor since 2005. The daughter of Mexican immigrants, she now leads more than 600,000 union members here in LA. The LA Times says she’s helped make Labor “possibly the greatest single power in [the city’s] electoral politics.”
