Brad and Linda Johnson opened Post & Beam with Chef Govind Armstrong in 2011. At the time, Pulitzer Prize-winning restaurant critic Jonathan Gold called the spot “the most ambitious restaurant to ever open in the Crenshaw District.” The Los Angeles Times just honored Post & Beam with the annual Gold Award named after Jonathan. Current chef/owner John Cleveland shares the importance of both living in and serving the neighborhood. The restaurant is participating in Black Restaurant Week, which runs Friday, August 7 - Sunday, August 16, 2020.
