This Saturday on Good Food, Evan interviews Poppy Tooker, host of Louisiana Eats! on WWNO in New Orleans. Poppy likes to serve Café Brulot for dessert on Thanksgiving. Her recipe for the flaming dessert is below…

Café Brulot

1 orange

1 lemon

8 – 10 cloves

2 sticks cinnamon

1/4 cup brandy

1/4 cup triple sec

4 cups strong, black coffee

Peel the lemon and the orange in a single, concentric peel. Stud each with cloves and attach one to the other with a clove if possible. Place in a silver bowl with the cinnamon and the brandy and triple sec. Flambe, allowing the flaming alcohol to run down the peels so that the cloves spark. Put out the flames with the coffee and serve in demitasse cups.
