Win or lose: You will chew on the experience

Dodger DogThe LA Dodgers will see another day at the baseball field.

With help from Adrian Gonzalez and Juan Uribe — each with home runs — the team beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-4 in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series in front of 53,000 at Dodger Stadium.

The Cardinals still lead the series 3 games to 2, so the Dodgers will have to take the next two in a row from St. Louis, as the series heads back to Busch Stadium there.

As we take a bite about the consequences of prolonging this series, think about this: you will likely eat either more or better, depending upon the outcome of your favorite team.

One overseas researcher studied fans of NFL football teams — and reports those people eat healthier food the day after their team wins.

What happens if their team loses? They’re more likely to eat more calories and higher fat content.

KCRW’s Evan Kleiman (of Good Food fame) joined me to talk about it.

There’s more, by the way, on this story this weekend on Good Food on KCRW.
