This week, lawyers for the group Abused in Scouting say there are more than 350 previously unreported predators among the Boy Scouts, and hundreds of new potential victims. In a lawsuit, they accuse the Boy Scouts of America of continuing a “serious conspiracy to conceal and cover up” abuse.

The Boy Scouts say they’ve referred some of the newly accused people to law enforcement, and are currently investigating the others.

Allegations of suspected abuse in the Boy Scouts have now reached massive numbers: roughly 8000 suspected abusers and more than 12,000 victims dating back many decades.
