Federal judge says Education Secretary DeVos illegally delayed special ed rule

A federal judge ruled that the U.S. Department of Education wrongly delayed an Obama-era rule that aimed to ensure kids of color weren’t being disproportionately disciplined or put into special education classes. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos wanted to delay the rule until 2020, but the judge ordered that it go into effect immediately.

Also, Justice Elena Kagan says that Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. is considering whether to create an ethics code for the Supreme Court. Both additionally said they are against having cameras in court, despite public support for it.
