LA Times food columnist satirizes how the New York Times covers LA

The New York Times has a habit of writing about L.A.’s food, culture, and transportation as if it’s a city on another planet. It paints LA as a quaint backwater with lots of traffic, and an obsession with health fads and quirky food. Yesterday, the L.A. Times hit reply. In honor of April Fool’s Day, it published a piece titled “For cramped New York, an expanding dining scene.”
