In Iran today, yesterday’s deal on the country’s nuclear development was promoted during Friday Prayers. Addressing the nation on national television, President Hassan Rouhani said, “They accepted that Iran -- on its own land -- should have the right to enrichment, that is to say that enrichment had been a threat but now everyone has accepted that the enrichment is not a threat for anyone."

Faced by Republican opposition and skeptics in his own political party, President Obama defended the nuclear deal yesterday in a statement from the Rose Garden. "If Iran cheats the world will know it. If we see something suspicious, we will inspect it. So this will be a long-term deal that addresses each path to a potential Iranian nuclear bomb."

Political leaders in the US, Iran and Europe face a three-month selling job.
