In Austin, Texas, legislators were up until almost three this morning for a chaotic session featuring a 13-hour filibuster against new abortion restrictions. Fifteen minutes before midnight, Democratic State Senator Leticia Van de Putte tried to make her voice heard by the Republican majority, which had been ignoring her during a lengthy session.
