Mayor Eric Garcetti today released a 105-page booklet outlining his vision for making Los Angeles a "sustainable city." Not all of the plans are new, but it's the first time they've been collected together. Central to his thinking is that, "there's no closed-off 'environmental department.'" From now on, sustainability will be incorporated into "each of our 35 departments and bureaus from airports to police to water and power and everything in between." Saul Gonzalez went to the Mayor's news conference.
