Wax Poetics magazine debuted as a quarterly in December 2001, and since then it's been a mainstay of hip-hop, funk, soul and more. Owner and Editor-in-Chief Andre Torres talks with Elvis Mitchell about the magazine's beginnings and what he hopes to achieve in each issue. The magazine is now published bi-monthly.
