The government’s rationale for denying basic sanitary products to migrant kids

In a viral video from the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, a Department of Justice attorney argued that it is “safe and sanitary” to detain migrant children without soap, toothbrushes, and blankets.

This is the last week of the Supreme Court's current term, and they issued a few decisions today. One has to do with a ban on trademarking words or symbols that are “immoral” or “scandalous," which the court struck it down.

Decisions are still pending on political gerrymandering and whether the government can add a question about citizenship to the 2020 Census.
