What would it look like to break up Facebook?

Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes called on Thursday for Facebook, which owns Instagram and WhatsApp, to be broken up. In a New York Times op-ed, he wrote that Mark Zuckerberg has too much power over Facebook’s 2 billion users. Is breaking up the social media giant a realistic plan, and would it tackle anti-trust issues?
