Russia tried hacking election systems in all U.S. states, according to Senate report

The Russian government tried to hack election systems in all 50 states during the 2016 election, and in at least one state, Russians were in a place to delete or change voter data, though there’s no evidence they did it. That’s the takeaway from a Senate Intelligence Committee report released on Thursday.

The report echoed some of the same points that former Special Counsel Robert Mueller made earlier this week, when he warned that Russians are trying to meddle in the 2020 election.
