Preventing High School Sexual Assaults

Hosted by

In the wake of arrests at Venice High School, we look at how campuses can foster safety and curriculum designed to prevent teen sexual violence. From how to draw boundaries with a partner, to respectful use of social media, groups like Break the Cycle talk with teens about healthy romantic and sexual relationships. With budget cuts reducing the number of counselors, the need is ever-growing. One in ten girls report having been raped by a peer, according to the Centers for Disease Control. One in three experiences some form of dating violence, Break the Cycle says.
