Anita Lo is a first-generation Chinese-American chef who has cooked at some of the highest levels you can imagine. She held a Michelin star for nine years as chef of Anissa in New York. She was also the first woman guest chef to cook for a State dinner at the Obama White House. These days her life is a little more quiet, and she often finds herself cooking for one. She wrote a book of recipes that don’t sacrifice deliciousness when you’re cooking for yourself. “Solo: A Modern Cookbook Party for One” was recently named Eater’s 2018 Cookbook of the Year.
