Next month MOCA will open "Skin and Bones," a fascinating look at the "parallel practices" in contemporary architecture and fashion.  Meantime, drawing inspiration from Japanese designers, LACMA mounts "Breaking the Mode," an exhibit of iconoclastic clothing that has challenged convention.
