It's been a rough week for network news. NBC's Matt Lauer is being heavily criticized for what was seen as a poor hosting performance at a forum with Trump and Clinton. Fox News continues to be in turmoil, and out millions of dollars after their former head of news Roger Ailes left with a $40 million settlement. In addition, this week parent company 21st Century Fox announced a $20 million settlement with former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson, who alleged Roger Ailes sexually harassed her. Greta Van Susteren has stood by Ailes, but also left the network this week, something her contract allowed if Ailes ever departed. At least two other women have also settled with Fox News for undisclosed amounts.
