FROM THIS EPISODE

The City of Industry is holding its first council election in 17 years tomorrow. The industrial suburb is located in the San Gabriel Valley, 20 miles from downtown Los Angeles. But there’s been almost no campaigning, and there are only 125 registered voters. The election comes amid investigations into lucrative contracts between the city and ex-Mayor David Perez and his family-owned companies. KCRW's Steve Chiotakis spoke with Kevin Roderick, editor of LA Observed.
