FROM THIS EPISODE

Julia Louis-Dreyfus knows a thing or two about longevity. The actress and comedian has been working pretty much non-stop since 1990 when she landed the role of Elaine Benes in Seinfeld. Since then, she's played a relatively small number of characters, including Ellie Riggs in Watching Ellie, the title character in The New Adventures of Old Christine, and most recently, as Vice President Selina Meyer in HBO's Veep. She says the opportunity to play the same character over the course of several seasons has been a blessing. "You get to know these characters better the more you wiggle around in them, and stories change as a result of that." She talks about playing the "political animal" that is Selina Meyer, plus, shares the scene that stuck with her from one of her favorite movies of all time: Hoosiers.
