‘Other People’ The new film “ Other People ” is a bittersweet story about a struggling comedy writer. He comes back home to Sacramento from New York to spend time with his dying mother. The film is partially autobiographical, though its writer and director Chris Kelly is anything but struggling. Earlier this month, he was named co-head writer of Saturday Night Live.
