I am sitting on the tour bus outside tonight’s venue here in not all that sunny London, England. I am three shows into the tour and so far, things are going well. The weather isn’t all that great but it so far has not kept us from getting to the shows. I got to Dublin, Ireland from Timbuktu a few days ago.

Here's the track listing for last Saturday's show. I made a mistake and thought this Saturday's Jazz Juggernaut was on. No matter! It was good music all the way to the end and I am sorry for the confusion. I am sitting in a production office in Liverpool UK, having just walked offstage. The tour is going great and this Saturday, you will have two hours of amazing Jazz to get you into your Saturday night. Until then, sorry for the hassle and STAY FANATIC!!

Another day, another cramped flight. Today's travel has had so far, an alarming lack of chaos. I still have a ways to go before I am done transiting for today. I am in Senegal, it is 01-01-10. I know tonight's show is a long way from now but I am pretty sure that tonight is the last night I will have internet access until days after our show airs, so I am taking advantage of the last of the internets before I go off the grid.
KCRW Broadcast 44
It is early Thursday morning here in beautiful Dakar, Senegal. I am putting together our show notes now because I am not sure that after tomorrow if I will have access to the internets for several days. I might have to do the notes for the show after this one from here as well. I hope you all dug last week's show, judging from the mail, it went down well with you. I left a few hours after I got off the air and flew here, via Dulles. I have been walking all over town, checking things out and digging the scene.

I got you, I feel good! What a show we have tonight! We start with a scorching Thai rendition of the James Brown classic I Got You (I Feel Good) and it goes from strength to strength. I took advantage of all the new stuff that had come in since I have been away and it’s great. New DEVO and Kraftwerk remasters are great. I think tonight’s stand out scorching track is the PIL track. Before I left, I read on a site about a Johnny Lydon DVD called The Best Of British £1 Notes that had unreleased mixes of tracks from the 2nd Public Image Ltd. Album, Second Edition. I found a used copy and hoped that I would be able to get the audio off the DVD somehow. I got back here last week and was able to do it and DAMN THE TRACKS ARE SCORCHING!!!!!!!!!!

It’s been awhile, I know but tonight we are back with you live! I am writing to you from freezing Beijing China. I am living a few blocks from Tiananmen Square. It’s a massive thing, that square. I have been going to it every day at sundown to check out the guards, the people and the overall until I go into a state of hypothermia and head back to my room. It’s going to be a long flight back to the USA. If all goes according to plan, I should be landing a few hours before we go live. I should be able to make some sense, at least the music will be good.

I am sending in these notes a little early. It is Wednesday night here in Kathmandu Nepal. In the morning, I am heading off to Shanghai China and don’t know what my internet situation will be there. Not to doubt the power of the information highway of China, I have heard they have one, not all that encumbered by the free flow of information, which may very well speed things up! Nonetheless, not knowing what I am heading into and knowing that this connection works now and then, I am sending these notes in to you now. I have picked up some cool music here that I will get into the mix as soon as I can.

Engineer X and I have done it yet again. Tonight’s show was concepted and done in Kolkata India, sent back to the Sonic Jihadist himself, assembled and you have a radio show complete with good music and some crazy late afternoon traffic.
KCRW Broadcast 39
All is well in Kolkata, India, where I am presently writing to you from. The last time I was here, it was called Calcutta. Some buildings still have that legend on the front but for the most part, everything official says Kolkata. I have been here for a few days, wandering here and there, taking photographs. Before I came here, I was in Dhaka, Bangladesh. That was an interesting experience to say the least.

I think this may be a first for our us. Seeing that I am out on the road at the moment, I had an idea do the show from the busy streets of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I sent Engineer X a letter about the idea and he said I should go for it. So, I came up with a show, made my list and went outside with my digital recorder. I sent the music and the voice stuff back to Engineer X via Yousendit.com and it came through intact...
KCRW Broadcast 37: Shepard Fairey guest hosts
Hello from Colombo Sri Lanka. I have been here for a few days, walking the streets, breathing too many exhaust fumes, having a good time. As you know, tonight, Shepard Fairey will be slinging the jams. Engineer X will be taking care of all the board business so Shepard will be free to do the show as he wants to.
KCRW Broadcast 36
Hello from Jakarta, Indonesia. I hope you all got a chance to check out last week's Halloween broadcast. So far, no letters of outrage. I'll try harder next time. Tonight, we have a healthy mix of music. Many of the usual suspects will be floating through your speakers over the next two hours...
KCRW Broadcast 35
I know you won't be listening tonight. It's Halloween and you're at the Park Plaza having fun with all the swingin' K DJ's. I am on the road tonight, so Engineer X and I put together a little show for you that I hope you will enjoy...
