KCRW Broadcast 37: Shepard Fairey guest hosts
Hello from Colombo Sri Lanka. I have been here for a few days, walking the streets, breathing too many exhaust fumes, having a good time. As you know, tonight, Shepard Fairey will be slinging the jams. Engineer X will be taking care of all the board business so Shepard will be free to do the show as he wants to.

Hello from Jakarta, Indonesia. I hope you all got a chance to check out last week's Halloween broadcast. So far, no letters of outrage. I'll try harder next time. Tonight, we have a healthy mix of music. Many of the usual suspects will be floating through your speakers over the next two hours...
KCRW Broadcast 35
I know you won't be listening tonight. It's Halloween and you're at the Park Plaza having fun with all the swingin' K DJ's. I am on the road tonight, so Engineer X and I put together a little show for you that I hope you will enjoy...
KCRW Broadcast 34
I am out of town tonight, out of town to say the least. I am writing to you now from Amman Jordan. I am out on a little trip to see some things. Engineer X and I did a show similar to this one about two years ago and I wanted to do it again, this being the month of October. Here are the show notes from last time around, I think they are Fanatic enough for all...
KCRW Broadcast 33
A couple of days ago, I put together what I thought was going to be this broadcast...I came in last night and read an e-mail from Ian MacKaye. Brendan Mullen had passed away. After writing Ian back and thinking about the last times I spoke to Brendan, I knew we were going to have to do a different show and got to work on it....This morning I put that part of the show together. Then I read that Dickie Peterson of Blue Cheer passed away...
KCRW Broadcast 32
Very behind on things around here. I worked on this show during flights and long drives over the last several days. I have been on the East Coast, signing up the limited edition of my new book, A Mad Dash. At the time of this writing, the book is selling through very quickly and if you are so inclined to get a copy, you would be well advised to go to my site and get on that sooner than later...
KCRW Broadcast 31
It's 2250 hrs. on 10-01-09. I was in the studio all day, working on a
talking record edit. After we finished that, I did some voice over work
for a Flaming Lips project. I don't know when it's coming out, so I'll
let them break the news on their own and when they see fit to tell me
what's happening, I will let you know. I must say, it is pretty cool to
be on a project with them. My eyes are closing on me and I still have a
lot of work to do before I can get the lights out. I am listening to a
run-through of this show and I am liking it!
KCRW Broadcast 30
I think we have another great mix for the show! I worked on this one for several days and it just passed the car test and so we go to the station with it and see what you all think. We are start with some rockin' material and then moving onto other climes...
KCRW Broadcast 29
Tonight’s show is I think, one of the more interesting ones we’ve had for a long time. As I put these together, they take on a life of their own. I started out with the Prehensile Monkeytailed Skink track, the vocal is fantastic. I don’t know what made me put the Monks track after it but it seemed to me the only track to go to. I went on from there and the further I got into it, the more it felt like the thing was putting itself together...
KCRW Broadcast 28
These notes were a little late getting to you and for that I am sorry. I have been a little under the weight of the schedule here and things got a bit ahead of me. Nonetheless, I think we have a show that will be to your liking. I hope so. Last few days have been a blur of obligation and deadlines. I hope to catch up on things by Sunday night. Last night, I was at the House Of Blues for the Ozzy Osbourne tribute...

Twenty-six weeks in, I think I have made it to the half year mark at KCRW! So far, I am still here and all seems to be going well. A lot on the plate tonight so let's get crackin'...

We have completed our pledge drive and I wanted to thank all of you who so generously elected to keep public radio alive. You all delivered big time! During last week's show, we took in a large amount of money because you care, that's what it's all about. Thanks for getting it. I knew you would come through.
KCRW Broadcast 24
It is pledge drive time! We will be asking you to help keep KCRW rockin' and that's what most of our show will deal with. Don't tune out!
