FROM THIS EPISODE

After 37 years on the Los Angeles Police Department, Chief Bernard Parks will be out of a job in August. By a vote of 11-to-3, the City Council has voted not to re-evaluate Parks' application for a second five-year term. Now, the Police Commission has until late this summer to recommend replacement candidates to Mayor Jim Hahn. But Parks' story may not be over yet. Earlier this week, he alarmed city officials by hiring an attorney. We talk with Mayor Hahn, and hear about today's Council action and the process of finding a new Chief. We'll also speak with Parks' lawyer, Gloria Allred, about what might be next for the man who says he was forced out by a "conspiracy" between the Police Protective League, the Police Commission and Mayor Hahn.
