    Good Food

Wine, the Processed Food Industry, Bordeaux, Summer Diets

Food writer Carl Chu takes us to an Asian hotspot in Alhambra. Award-winning author Laura Shapiro investigates the unsuccessful marketing campaign of the mass food industry, and nutritionist David Heber helps us get in shape for summer. Bill Echikson gives us a look at the changing world of Bordeaux winemakers. If you've ever though about starting your very own wine cellar, you'll be interested in our conversation with wine-pro Bob Goldbahar from Twenty-Twenty in WLA, who say you don't have to have a fortune to do it.

Finding Chinese Food in Los Angeles. He spoke about

Savoy Kitchen at 138 E Valley Blvd in Alhambra; (626) 308.9535.

Laura Shapiro is author of Something from the Oven, which investigates the food industry's unsuccessful marketing campaign to get women in the 50s to "unlearn" how to cook by selling them canned burgers, frozen bouillabaise and dehydrated wine. Lucky for us, it was a flop!

Enologist Bill Echikson, author of Noble Rot, talked about the wines and wineries of Bordeaux.
