What a jam session we have for you tonight! This is a nonstop cavalcade of excellence we have put together in the eclectic super mix style! I am sitting on the bus at this moment, in front of the venue here in Portland, Maine. It was a beautiful day and it's a sold out show tonight so there will be a good crowd falling in here sooner than later. Pre-show, I will be listening to tonight's set one more time, I am really liking how these songs all fit together...

    Fanatics!

Pre-show, I will be listening to tonight's set one more time, I am really liking how these songs all fit together.

Shows have been going well out here. I am past fifty shows, so I can definitely say that I am on tour. Tonight, we drive into Canada for over a week of shows there. Many of the places I will be hitting I have never been to before, so I am looking forward to it.

So many great songs tonight. We have a double dose of Alan Vega in two of his forms, one in the classic Suicide mode as well as his collaboration with Pan Sonic's Mika Vainio and Ilpo Väisänen in the form of VVV. Tonight, we play one of my favorite MC5 songs, it doesn't sound like anything else they ever did, which makes it perfect for our show. Also, we have a track from the first Squatweiler album, Full Bladder, this is hard to find but worth it. Tonight's Public Enemy track is one of my favorite tracks of theirs but as far as I know, it only exists on 12” and has never been re-issued on CD. I got it well over twenty years ago. Hop Around is one of my favorite Dee Dee tracks and to top it all off, we finish with a great Zappa track and say goodnight. It's another great mix of music that I hope you will enjoy. We have some great concept sets and album close ups, so stay tuned. I am already gearing up for some hot weather sets. I was planning some great ones earlier today while I was running at the gym. Play this one loud, lean in close and STAY FANATIC!!!
