From Migas to Queso: A Taste of Texas in Los Feliz

Briana Valdez Parsons is the owner of HomeState, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Los Feliz. She and her sister Andy Valdez are "Tex-Pats" who spent ten years trying to find a good breakfast taco in LA. They never found one, so they decided to open a restaurant serving the best of the food they grew up on. Expect breakfast tacos, migas, homemade flour tortillas and of course, queso.

Briana walks us through how to make migas, a mixture of eggs, lightly fried corn tortilla strips, onions and cheese.
